Club Matters

I am pleased to inform you that the Election Committee of the American Club of Lisbon has confirmed at a meeting of the General Assembly of the American Club of Lisbon on December 14 that the members of the American Club of Lisbon have elected a new Board, for the period 2024-2026, consisting of:

Patrick Siegler-Lathrop, President, member of Executive Committee
Eduardo Moradas, Vice-President, Treasurer, member of Executive Committee
Patricia Akester, Vice-President, Secretary, member of Executive Committee
Mercedes Gallis da Costa, member (renewed)
Sheree Mitchell, member (renewed)
Diane Daudin Clavaud, new member
David Doll, new member
Blake Noah, new member
Teresa Vitoria, new member

Thank you to all of our members who voted in the Board election and special thanks to the Election Committee, consisting of three of our members, Catarina d’Orey, Guilherme de Figueiredo and Luis de Lima Pinheiro, who diligently handled the entire election process from beginning to end.

My congratulations to each elected Board Member.

I would like to thank each member of the outgoing Board for their generous contribution to the American Club over the previous 3 years. In addition to re-elected Board Members Eduardo Moradas, Mercedes da Costa, Patricia Akester and Sheree Mitchell, the outgoing Board includes Theo Wolf, Antonio Rebelo de Sousa, Chitra Stern, Gary Ciuba, Marco Galinha, Nuno Sa Leal and Stacy Delano. Without their dedication, we would not be where we are today, I am personally very grateful to each of them for their support.

I am also pleased to inform you that the Election Committee informed me that the American Club of Lisbon elected a new Fiscal Council at the General Assembly, consisting of:

Curtis Stewart, President
Amy Herrick, member
Charles Buchanan, member

Our thanks go to Amy Herrick, President,  Alberto Soares and Charles Buchanan for their loyal service as the Fiscal Council for the past three years.

I very much look forward to working with this dynamic new Board and Fiscal Council team, jointly with our Executive Director Anne Taylor, to carry the American Club of Lisbon with dynamism and progress over the next three years.
